Hello everyone! I have been wanting to join this group and apologize for not joining sooner. I love music but specifically God's music because I know it will always be a part of my life. I have two children and a part-time job. In my spare time, which maybe while everyone's sleeping, I practice acoustic guitar, singing, piano, and song writing. My level is novice but my passion consumes me and won't let me give up. Just to be honest.

Would love to get to know others and learn. I would also love the fellowship.

I'm new here as well. I was wondering if anyone around the Austin (TX) area was involved in a local songwriter's group that meets weekly to perform and get feedback on new stuff.

I am serving the LORD in a music ministry to some Health Centers and Nursing homes in north Austin. We play the old hymns and some of the older worship songs like "Wings of a snow white dove". Mostly done with a country influence. The resident's seem to like them. I am trying to get togeather a new music book for them. Songs that they grew up with, and songs that are not too difficult for the guitar. I already have 50 songs but would like more. I need uplifting songs not ready for the grave songs. I already have "Ill Fly Away" and "Swing Low". That is about as down as I want to go. I need fun songs for the people with Guitar chords. You can email them to me at lmconnally@hotmail.com.

All of GOD's music starts as a prayer. Whether it is Praise or Worship. If you want to write a good song for GOD then just start with a prayer.
