Kelly, Just read your e-mail to me. I haven't been on GraceAlley for a very long time. I am sorry I missed the opportunity to meet you.
How long are you staying in Rifle"?
Hi Kelly, sorry to make you wait so long I am visiting family out of town.
To answer your questions I will have to think awhile. What, if any denomination church are you looking for? Off the top of my head I would reccomend Fellowship of the Rockies or if you want something big 1st United Methodis Iguess it. depends on what you are looking for as far as purpose and size.
I am happy to be of service in whatever way possible.
Unfortunately I have only been in Colorado three years and the Denver area for about 8 months. We just joined Grace Chapel and they might be able to give you some help with ideas for venues. Their phone number is (303) 799-4900. We would love to see your group if you come to the Denver area.
our youth ministy here on grace alley can only start when i get some teens so if you could please get some people to join. they can either talk to me or forChristsglory. and i live in Winnsboro texas. thanks for your help!
I do not know him but I did check out his website and thank you for the link! What an amazing ministry for God!
And it sounds like you have a wonderful calling as well. I would love to hear more about your ministry to women as I share the same passion. Especially for young women as they begin and continue to grow into confident women for God.
Hope you are having a blessed weekend and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Kelly

Kelly,
Thanks for saying hello and becoming my "friend" on gracealley!
By chance, do you know my husband's best friend, Tony Sutherland? He is also a song writer and worship leader.? His webpage is: http://www.tonysutherland.com. Anyway, just wondering:)
I primarily speak to women and teen girls. When I have the opportunity to speak and share about God's goodness on stage, I cannot explain to you how I feel - it's like a fire within my innermost being as I tell them about my story and that He is an awesome God! (I'm sure you feel this way about your music:)
I pray blessings over you and your music. May the Lord take it to the nations for His glory!
Blessings!

It's late, so here's the short version.
What would really push you up a level would be to apply a de-esser first in the effects bin of your vocal, and manage both the threshold and the amount of s removed per s throughout the song - each s gets its' own settings, not just a de-esser turned on and running. This will allow you to show off that beautiful tone without blowing people's tweeter fuses with your sibilance.
Also, more careful attention needs to be paid to how the vocal is sitting in the mix. There are times when your vocal is way too far back. The management of the dynamic of your vocal needs to correlate with the supporting sounds, so that you and your accompaniment are "saying" the same thing by your respective volumes. You don't want the accompaniment to sound more excited when you're backing off, and less excited when you're singing more agressively. This is easily managed by using a control of the threshold of your vocal compressor (assuming it has automatic make-up), creating the dynamic flow of the song in the vocal (listening to it by itself), never attenuating more than -3, and then going back and letting the band follow your artistic choices in the dynamic of the vocal.
If this makes sense, great! Try it out and tell me how it went. If not, e-mail me at lawren.lelko@gmail.com and I can try to clarify.

Can I make a comment about the engineering? And, Do you still have access to the studio separate instruments/vocal multi-track recordings?
