These are complex questions that require much time, studying, and prayer to get to the bottom of. But since the Bible provides us with answers to all questions, I'd like to post a few scriptures that offer some clues to the questions you posed. I...

Hi again, I hope you had a wonderful Easter. I just posted some new pictures from the Macy's 8th floor flower show from downtown Mpls and I'm wondering if you could look at a couple of them. The lighting was a little tricky for me but I have 2 that I'm curious about. 1st is the tulip picture. Do you think it's strange to fill the whole shot with them?
2nd, is the one with the flower buds from the tree. I'm not sure it looks right, Does it look strange to you?
If you see this, I would really appreciate your thoughts.
God Bless, Kim

Hi Max, I hope your doing well. Would you believe I finally broke down and got a digital camera! I bought a Sony Cyber-shot 10.1
We just got back from Orlando and I've posted a few of the pictures. I'd love to know what you think of them. If you have any good tips that would be great. I think I got some pretty good shots for never using a digital camera before. My family thinks I've lost it. I took almost 800 photos in one week! :)

Hey there! What have you been up to? I've been pretty distant on Grace Alley but I stopped by so I thought I'd say hi. How's the MN weather been for you? I put a tank top on and went for a nice long walk on Thanksgiving.... hee hee!

Max,

Hello! I love your favorite prayer by Charles H. Gabriel...how precious is the life of others. I also want to live a life that is pleasing to the Father.

I also listened to your video. I found myself grieving in some parts of it; for my sins, the lost, and thinking of my children. Our hope for our children is that they truly love the Lord and obey Him at a younger age than my husband and I did.

Christianity is an actual rebirth by the Holy Spirit and when this happened to me is when I gave up on myself and I knew that I could only trust in the Lord. I gave up on the world and men's ideas...they always failed me. I finally understood that being saved is just not about escaping judgement as much as it is giving back to the Lord what He gave us all in His son Jesus. I finally understood that I not only needed to make Him my Savior but my Lord. I'm jumped in and I'm so thankful.

Anyway, we don't know each other that well but I wanted you to know I was thinking of you and decided to visit!

Have a great weekend!

Hey Max,

Just a quick 'hello'. How have you been? How's MN? OK is okay. Nasty hot outside, gigantic spiders, strange looking bugs, peculiar people, and many more odd experiences! Other than that, work is good and church is amazing! I can't get enough of the worship and teaching.

Have you found a home church in MN yet? Bible study? You listen to some of the Time Square Church sermons don't you? Pastor David Wilkerson has done the last few and they've been very powerful. I put my headphones on and listen to them or other teachings while I work. The day flies by....

Hope you are well! Let me know how life is in MN.

Blessings,
Sheri

Hey Max,
Thanks for taking the time to check out the caringbridge deal. Yeah, it's been a test in patience, but I can't complain since it's pretty amazing I'm still around at all and still able to go to Botswana eventually.

I thought I recognized those falls. I used to go running/biking there a lot since it was right by my campus (St. Kate's). Are you a photographer by trade or is it a hobby?

take care,
Em

Hi Max,
I'm new to this grace alley deal, but I saw you were from St Paul and I went to college there. Anyway, I just wanted to say I really like your pictures. Is that Minnehaha Falls that's frozen in those pictures? Take care!

Christian Foreign Policy

To bring under the sway of Christianity nations who do not attack us and whom we have therefore no excuse for oppressing, we ought before all things to leave them in peace, and in case we need or wish to enter into closer relations with them, we ought only to influence them by Christian manners and Christian teaching, setting them the example of the Christian virtues of patience, meekness, endurance, purity, brotherhood, and love.

In defense of modern Christianity--a cynic's response to a call for righteousness.

"Corruption in the world grows as God's children fail to shine as lights, Matt 5:16, and no longer walk as children of light, Eph 5:8-10."

You speak of the need to choose righteousness--the average protestant will accuse you of legalism.
You complain of the ten commandments being thrown out of courts--the average protestant church has thrown the ten commandments out of its midst long before.
You speak of obedience--the average protestant church has rejected obedience… Continue

Passages to turn to during difficult times (EMTV)

Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in tribulations, knowing

Why Cain killed Abel

(a reaction to the contemplations of a secular Jew on the same topic)

Both had pure intentions: sacrifice to God. But in Cain's sacrifice there was an element of impurity... He noticed this impurity and this realization clashed with his desire to please God and to be pure (a desire all God's children have). He was the first man to see that he cannot please God. Perhaps he was also the first to see sin in himself. Adam and Even knew nakedness and shame, and even separation from God, but
