I'm not sure what you are alluding to re: filling the entire picture with tulips. I do like the image as it is.
The tree that is budding seems a little out of focus. I'm not sure it is one of you best shots.
Many of your pictures are very nice.
For flower close ups I'd use Aperture Priority or the Flower Icon to blur the surrounding area and highlight the flower as you did on some.
All in all I think you are doing very well!

I'm curious too; what kind of camera? The photos are great! And I really love the one of you and hubby; look how cute you two are! How was the trip to see your daughter? And is shy having the time of her life? We lost our Maggie just before Thanksgiving; we had a lot of firsts back-to-back. She passed the day before my birthday, same week of Thanksgiving, then tree-trimming and her birthday. What a precious girl she was (photos on my page). I'm getting more involved with animal rescue groups and also plan to train our next for pet therapy as I think that would be a great ministry.
I hope you and your family are enjoying a wonderful Christmas season!
